TKG TAKE TEN is on hiatus for THIS WEEK.
TKG TAKE TEN is taking a wee break and will launch back at the same time AND from The Kitchens Garden Farm. We are going home.
I am returning to the Great Plains and the summer after two months of travel! I love to travel. I love reconnecting every year with my international family! I have been so many places. I am afraid to count. But the little, organic sustainably managed farm, surrounded in hundreds of acres of organic grains, where I grow food for my American family, beckons. The growing season is short - time to get busy.
I am in the city of Melbourne and any gentle ambient sounds of the city have been thoroughly mined which is why TKG Take Ten is taking a break as I travel the last leg. The next sounds will be Monday evening from the farm.

TKG THREADS has launched. This is like a what’s app thread for you and me and The Tenners to stay in touch anytime anywhere.
The Tenners is not exclusive, you can join anytime - I have kept the subscription super low. As well as contributing to the mission and the writing; you are buying apples for the vegetarian rescue pigs!

I will start a new thread with a new sustainable home challenge every Saturday.
This is a scary initiative because what if no one reads and no one joins. I will be left sitting in my chatterbox circle alone. But this is a risk all writers and bloggers and story tellers make. We take risks. We put our hearts on our sleeves. We trust in the intelligence of our readers. I trust that you are like me and enjoy the sense of inclusion and community and discussion and cross pollination that we have here.
And that you have questions. And I have questions, too.
So - you and I will explore how threads work and whether it is for us. Unlike notes - that are public - these threads are private. Just us. I have control of the list and anyone who is unkind will be regretfully removed from the circle. The right to live a sustainable and environmentally responsible life needs to be protected and nurtured.
You know what I mean. 🥺 It can be tough out there and there is a lot of anxiety roiling about this year. Our space is safe.
TKG Threads is the fourth side to the outside of our TKG (The Kitchen’s Garden) square. It is a door. The door to thinking outside our square. It is where you get to: ‘Ask me anything’. And join in with an answer. TKG Threads dovetails in beautifully with TKG Sustainable Sunday (coming back to your screens very soon) and TKG Take Ten (such fun - back on Monday) and the mother ship (TKG) The Kitchens Garden. (The Farmy).
