At last!!. TkG Take Ten
You have to see this. They are still a little shy. The Pigs Are On the Farmy!
We drove over and collected the piglets today (more on that in the blog tomorrow) and as usual you, my dear Tenners, are right here with me in real time.
The piglets are the progeny of a White Landrace mother and a Duroc papa.
They are calm and allowed me follow them around dabbing WaiWai’s zinc cream on their ears. I have set their water and feed up in the deep shade of the mulberry trees in the Trailer Park Pen and though they have not discovered the old stock trailer yet, repurposed as a Hog House, they have sensibly spent the afternoon under the trees.
For piglets who have spent their whole life in metal grating in small pens in a huge hog facility they sure follow their instincts. They have begun digging their wallow. They are eating the mulberries and the mulberry trees and knocking down weeds at a great rate.
You will hear one of my younger summer helpers in the background playing with BooBoo.
Oh my gosh I just looked at the time!
My deadline to post this is 30 seconds away.
Take care and talk soon and enjoy your ten minutes with the new herd.
My little summer helper has named them ALL Charlotte. He thinks we should call them The Charlottes. And so we will. Joy!

Those little pigs are in piggy paradise. Piglets are the best! Well done once again C.
They are very sweet--and move so quickly sometimes. They must be so grateful to step out of cages.
I'll have to Google their parentage as I know nothing about breeds of pigs.
