Ten minutes of quiet on Ōtaki Beach. New Zealand. The lagoon.

The lagoon that runs behind the beach is heaving with bird life.

I took this yesterday evening while sitting on the side of the lagoon. It is handheld because everything including my arse was wet!

There are a lot of people up on the beach behind me so you may hear some vehicles. But look at all this bird life. Studiously ignoring me.
