Chooks, Chickens, Hens and Roosters
Every country I have lived in call their chickens by another name. I call them chooks pronounced to rhyme with books. My chooks like books!
The sun is setting so it is time for the chooks to go to bed. They do not have clocks so are not bothered by dayllight savings time!
Good evening. Have an awesome evening!

I am Cecilia, a New Zealander farming in Illinois. And I thank you so much supporting me to write about designing this self sufficient and environmentally sustainable life and living to talk about it. So I encourage you and thank you for Upgrading to Paid. Having said that I am very frugal so I totally understand and love you even if you can’t. No worries at all.
With a Paid Subscription under your belt you will get 10 minutes of sounds on the farmy delivered to your inbox at least 5 times a week. Not bad right?
And when I travel you will get those sounds too. Just the gentle calm ones. We need lots of gentle and calm in our lives.
Thank you! Time for me to go and feed the chooks!
Do they each have preferred spots, or does it vary night to night?
