Cul de Sac means a route or course leading nowhere. And I am presently situated in a little garden lined cul de sac deep in the city of Melbourne, Australia. The beauty of a road leading nowhere is the quiet.
But it is so quiet that I could only hear magpies. And traffic. Not ideal for a soundscape. Though I do love the warble of cheeky magpies in the morning. Anyway we needed to find some nature so off for a walk we went.
And walked and walked. Did you know that there is a direct correlation between lack of exercise and early onset dementia. So in the interests of my mental health, I walk. The longer I walk the less I think. So maybe the exercise gives your brain a rest and pauses the deterioration. Though I am sure it is all about oxygen to the brain.
They also say that 45 minutes of constant exercise 3 times a week will do the trick. It is a bit disappointing that I will not gain cognitive ability by walking but at least I should not lose any.
What’s your favorite exercise for the brain?

PS Much to my disappointment my bird app does not recognize any of these bird sounds so if you recognize a bird call let us know in the comments!
I'm sorry but I didn't see you in this video. I did see the dog for a second, but no one else. I guess his name is TimTam. Didn't see any trams either. I missed yesterday and that is why I'm behind. Lovely birdsong though.
