The Saturday before Sunday - Letters to My Mother
Developing a strong mind and body is essential to environmental stability. And no one is talking about it.
I woke up super early this morning so I could write to you.
In fact, I have wanted to add a midweek chat for you (my paying subscribers) for the longest time. And already I am way past midweek. It was 4.30 in the a.m. on a Saturday, that i started this piece and now I am ready to publish at 10 AM, so am I close? To midweek. Nope.
Is now a good time?
Creating sustainable manageable systems are critical as we move forward into our futures.
Systems are so important for stability. Here, on the farm, things are settling down (after my travels), and my current sustainable home systems are falling into place. The farm is settling into its late summer rhythms as we prepare for another Midwest winter (though I do not want to think about the winter - it is not my favorite season). I am not sure to which extreme our weather will jump this winter, but we need to be prepared. And now that the proverbial ducks are in a row, I can begin my midweek write (at the end of the week - oops). Schedules get better with repetition - do you agree? Let us hope so.
Developing a strong mind and body is essential for environmental stability. And no one is talking about it.
