Tima and her Chickens
A bonus 10 minutes on the farm because living the self sufficient life means chickens!
Chickens and maybe a rooster or two and Tima the kunekune pig.
Self sufficient is one step better than sustainable. A big step actually - especially if you can grow your own feed.
Sustainable is all about cycles. Self-suffient is all about the farm feeding the farm. The perfect cycle.
This year we grew wheat - next year we will be growing corn. Here the chickens are gobbling up that wheat.
Old fashioned farming is also about the gentle sounds and scents and sights. No cages. No crowding. Natural food.
So. Take a break. Close your eyes and just listen to the sounds of the farm.
Have a 10 minute break with the Farmy. (Perfect for a good yoga stretch or walk Pilates sequence! 😀🤭).
