TKG Take 10: Thurs : Sun! Sun all Day
We need sun. All the animals and all the birds and all the farmers; we need sun! You need sun too.
And when we are promised a day with even a little sun. Oh the joy of it.
I was intermittent by the time I began to film. These chickens have just come out from the hen house and you can see them quietly leaking across to the warmer areas and away from the shade. It is hard to know where you will see any natural action. But thats the beautiful of TKG Take 10. Anything can happen or - nothing at all!
If you listen at the beginning - you will hear Little Quacker quacking - he sounds very different to Big Quacker. And yes. The farmer down the way still has his dryer on, drying great silo’s full of corn or maybe beans but probably corn. It is the ever present drone in the background. You and I will both notice when that stops!
Isn’t it just like a lazy farmer to tie her gates up with string. Snort.
Have a lovely evening!

If you like TKG Take Ten please feel free to forward to a few people and share on your social media. It really helps me to get the word out there.
And don’t forget to pop into The Kitchens Garden in the morning. I’ll be there!
I always thought the background sound was wind moving something (although I don't know what) there on the farm. What must it sound like right there on his own farm, although I'm sure their ears must block it out altogether at some point. I think the chickens have been reading Take Ten at night and decided they would go off camera to misbehave- trying to prove we have all been misjudging them :)
