TKG Take 10: Wed : Roosters! Troublemakers the lot of them.

Tima sleeps with one ear open in case someone feeds the chickens without telling her! Because the roosters sure let her know there is bird food out.

Look at this mess today. So many bossy birds. Most particularly Mr Flowers (the peacock) and Quacker (the big brown duck). I have been reminded that many of you are new to The Kitchen’s Garden Farm so that spotty pig is the one we call Tima. Timatanga Moana if you want her complete name.

Can you see Little Quacker in there amongst the others. The small duck. This is her third day visiting. And she has made herself at home. For the meantime. I am not sure how long she will stay.

There is a bit of a breeze but no sun again. And not cold: 39F today! Here in central Illinois. Lovely.

Merciful heavens those roosters. Mr Flowers does not like them either!

I hear FreeBee squawling in the background. (FreeBee is a very large rescue hog). He was not that hungry this morning so I bet he has built up an appetite.

If you listen carefully I think you can hear the geese flying overhead. There are great flocks of them flying North today. “Wrong way!” I call to them. They are probably going to Walmart.
