That is SUPER smart! So you are avoiding food waste AND giving them a yummy meal.

I very much enjoyed looking at all these bums and strong stems.

I really appreciate your honesty about the challenges of raising chickens. The way you describe moving that rooster to a comfy spot and propping him up against a brick... it shows such care, even for animals that are ultimately destined for the dinner table.

Thanks for sharing this slice of farm life Cecilia :)

Thanks for the bottom/ bum/fanny lesson)))

Sometimes I need a brick to lean against--actually, more like a wall. A sturdy wall! Love this, as always.

Ha! I have never used the word "fanny" to talk about a butt but it would make a fanny pack a really confusing item to see labeled in a store... What do you call what Americans a fanny pack?

In a book I was reading the other day: there was a person patting another person on their ‘fanny’. Even now after almost 20 years in the US I raised my eyebrows. And thought - oh Lordy! .

Plus to be honest - the Fanny pack is most often worn to the front of a person. So - you know - it was not that confusing. We just thought it was a bit rude! 😂😂
