Today Jude (the black Berkshire) and Free Bee (the red Hereford) were bored. Hogs get up to no good when they are bored. So I gave FreeBee some leaves to play in (there he is sitting in the pile) and gave Big Jude some sticks. By tonight all these sticks will be in his bed. Sticks are his favorite thing.
I can almost see that pig thinking. Jude. FreeBee is very sweet but Jude is clever. He thinks a lot. I found him newly born in a slaughter house and brought him home in my brown wooly hat. Now he is 400 pounds of Lovin’. (if you upgrade to paid that money goes to buying these rascals all the best food!). (And all my pipgs are begetarians and meat free stock feed is actually hard to find - don’t start me on that!).
There is some nice hay, too. The majority of their diet is vegetables and hay.
Actually today you are seeing more Pig Bums than anything. Sorry about that! 😂.
We collect leaves from the idiots in town who rake them up and throw them out. Falling leaves are gifts from the trees! They are great for the pigs to play in, for the chook house (chickens especially love eggs in their laying boxes). But they really should stay below the trees. The townie leaves go into our compost heap or on top of the vegetable beds to keep the soil a little warmer until spring. OH SPRING!
We are on our way back to spring.
I bought a candle to put in the window for the Solstice and it smells like warm farts - just sayin’ . Comfortable farts. The nice warm kind. But still. Not what the label said.
Take care and Talk soon!

Finally at 9 minutes we get to see Jude's face! LOL
Poor pigs, hope they find some entertainment soon!
