TKG Take Ten. Travel: Sounds of a Hotel Sleeping
From behind the hotel curtains out across the Main Street we see a glint of sunshine spreading like a promise. This is the way to the the monorail to Disneyland.
I love the dense quiet of a sleeping hotel. Waking up early when everyone else is asleep is my favorite thing to do when there is a busy day ahead.
Behind us four people, a whole little family, Dad and three kids, are tucked up against the world. Sleeping. Stretched out in their beds. In crisp white hotel sheets. Mouths slightly open. Breathing softly. Dreaming of taking the walk down this street together, to the train that will carry them into the experience that is Disneyland.
Even though there is no sound - not really - though later we hear a little - this video is all about that sound of sleeping. That knowledge of presence. That comfort of a slumbering family safe for the moment in their beds, where I can see them.
Have a lovely evening.

This scene was so exotic. So much to see, with lovely multi-colors red and purples and royal blues. So many shapes in dark contrasts. Even a castle whose light went on and then later, off. I did not expect to see any people, but they appeared one by one at first. And then someone with a flashlight! I can't get a bead on where this is--part of Disneyland? You aid it was the street to the train but sis this still part of Disneyland.
