TKG TAKE TEN : Tuesday : A Slushy with a sprinkle of snow on Top
It was windy at feeding time this morning. Inches of slushy icy mucky snowy sludge. A little cold but not much. Everything is good.
I don’t mind the cold so much. And to be fair, we are not cold yet. Rural living means dressing for the cold. Both inside and out. To do a good job out there I need to be able to stay outside for hours at a time. No matter the weather. So I wear the overalls and the carhart - both splattered in mud at this point.
Having said that it really is not cold yet. We are above freezing.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen for your TKG TAKE TEN video. Please excuse the format of today’s Take Ten. My internet is down - again, you would be shocked to know how bad the internet is in rural America. And it seems that working off line and taking data does not give me all the bells and whistles but the SHOW MUST GO ON!
I just filmed a fab vid for tomorrow so don’t miss that one!

Yep, dressing for the cold both inside and out is what I do here too! In fact, I wear my insulated jeans inside most of the winter as well as outside as our wood stove does not put out the heat I wish it would, thus leaving most of the house rather chilly.
I am lucky enough to be lying in bed watching this and although our snow has gone for now, (more expected next week), l’m going to stay put for a bit longer! So lucky. Lovely video 🙏🏼
