TKG Take Ten: Wild Winter Bird Song
Not wild winter exactly. More: wild bird song IN the winter. POV From the Front Lawn to the Barn. I set the camera up then leave it for ten minutes. So I never really know what we will capture.
I am always hoping that we will get to hear (and maybe see - but not always see) a peaceful farm scene. We did today!!
I am loving this sound track. I have the video running while I write to you and this one is giving us lots of lovely birdsong and much less rooster crowing (which is nice). There are so many different bird sounds, until I started recording them I had no idea how many different birds were over-wintering with us here on the farm in the midwest.
I love it when the clip is more about listening than watching.
Do you?
Today the winter is making herself felt. All the animals and birds are hanging out in their bedrooms watching each other like television.
I hope you have some loveliness planned for your week. The holiday season can be so unsettling and fraught that I am hoping you are able to get a little calm and down-time in todays TKG Take Ten.
Take care. Talk soon.

The Sustainable Sunday Letter went out on Sunday (I am getting much better at sticking to my schedule which is important with newsletters). This letter is about Christmas in 1978 (I was in a convent at the time - a Home for Wayward Girls) - not strictly about living sustainably other than the fact it was 40 something years ago and we lived simply.
Very peaceful. I moved to Spain and thus eliminated the Christmas craziness.
thank you for the sound of peace
