Meanwhile back in the country. I have been catapulted from midsummer to deep winter. I know right? And I am hanging in rags! Banging into walls. Tired.
Hi Celi and welcome home. We do realise how lucky we are to live in our hemisphere far away from the Trump/Musk duo trying to change how people act and react. But tomorrow you will wake up to a new day and the tiredness will have fled and you will have time to enjoy your animals and the environment you have created for them and for your people. We know that we cannot change others way of life or their thinking we can only change ourselves. Take care and remind yourself that the goodness you are adding to the world is making a difference.
Yes, tough times here politically that's for sure... Choosing happiness. Turning away from turmoil. Both good plans. Only reading the news once a day and not watching it helps me. Ditto what Judith writes,
"We know that we cannot change others way of life or their thinking, we can only change ourselves. Take care and remind yourself that the goodness you are adding to the world is making a difference."
Plotting like growing and making food and being happy in our spaces gives us agency. Be, plot and do. Even better collaborate when you can. Plotters unite :D
And now Alice is finished. Funny how I had forgotten the end. You did such an amazing job of reading it. I'm listening to Pollyanna and the narrator is not very good (in my mind) He is a real person, not AI, but it just doesn't work for me. I keep thinking Cecilia would do such a better job. Thanks for entertaining us. I hope you have acclimatized by now.
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed it. Just waiting now for my copy of Wind in the Willows and we will be off again. The chapters are longer so it will be a little more immersive.
I think it’s a sort of magic trick that we can hold so many thoughts at once, even if I struggle a little with it. Wind in the Willows is a real favourite - what a treat it will be!

I am just about to put a stew on my new woodstove. That makes me happy!

Sending hugs to all.
Fully engaged and choosing happiness. Yes! Have a great morning Diane!
Out of desperation, I choose to be Happy.
Yes. This war talk is pretty dismaying..

I am looking forward to it! It has literally been years since I read Wind in the Willows.
