I am chuckling. It is like the people have replaced the farm animals, all chattering in their own way, coming and going and just being humans. I was so waiting for you to appear, walking through with your container of bird seed, Tima running behind hogging all the food. Crows cawing in the background I think? Where are all the small wild birds...too many people for them I imagine The bench sitter over by the picnic table seems to have been in deep contemplation pondering the mountains, or scrolling a phone- although I hope it is pondering and not scrolling in that beautiful place.

I notice that our small birds hide when it is cold. Maybe it is the same for the birds here too. In the California Central Valley I barely see any too. It is interesting .

Spring and fall are very rainy here. Both the birds and the squirrels shy away from the rain and I have noticed they (the birds that is) rarely sing in nasty weather as well. They were very happy to come out on the colder winter days as long as I tossed out some seed for them :)
