Just let everything else waft off into the ether and give yourself a break. You deserve it.
It is 95F on the plains of Central Illinois again today - that is 35C for those friends of ours in my home land. (New Zealand) And windy. Not as windy as yesterday but enough to wear a farmer and her animals out. Farming is all about constant movement and constant watching for animals or birds in distress and this heat with its accompanying wind puts me on high alert.
The ducklings are blissfully unbothered - even though literally dressed in duck-down they appear quite happy in the heat.
Maybe because they spend all day in the pool under the apple trees.
(I don’t know where the focus went today. Maybe on a blowing leaf. But we don’t care. We are here for the calming sounds of the farmy).
And no. There are no cicadas down here. I am not sure why, but we are not bothered by them.
Thank you so much for watching. Don’t forget to leave a Like ❤️ or a Comment 🛵. I love learning what you are thinking as you watch and (hopefully) catching a little relaxation.

Monday is Free for All Forever and if you would like to have 10 minutes of leaning on the gate with me, delivered 5 days a week, please feel free to upgrade and buy Big Jude the rescue hog some cold apples. He really does not like the heat.
Tomorrow we are in the barn with the calves and the cows and the swallows. It is a very sweet vid.
I love this. Those little ducks are having such a great time. You are having similar temps as we are having here in Spain. (We use Celsius here too, and in Canada.)
35c phew! We had our first “hot”day for weeks yesterday, until then it’s been wet and cold.
Those little ducklings are such characters, thank you.
