What a joyful adventure to come! As you note C, I am also one who would not stop if a child called in need. There is nothing holding me in place. A few book ideas: for a short read my grands loved Goodnight Moon. I also cannot imagine a story more appropriate to all that you share with us than Charlotte's Web

Oh yes! Charlottes web - I forgot about that - is it in the public domain? What an excellent choice!

Oh, I just checked and no sadly it is not. Darn :(

Then I will say The House at Pooh Corner which Google says IS in the public domain. I love Pooh!

Sounds like an exciting adventure. Our 2 daughters are just leaving our nest (ugh COVID). Melbourne is pretty good for sustainability. Good public transport, very cycle friendly. I look forward to following your work and progress!

I love Melbourne - I go there every year but only in the winter - and I love the trains! Such good service - glad to hear it is good overall, the public transport - I will be using it!

Your winter or ours?

Melbourne winter. Cheaper flights from

The US. I never visited for the weather just for the people. Your winters are wet!

Depends where you are, of course. Where I live in Canberra, they are clear, cold and mainly dry. And yes, airfares are ridiculous but we know why 🙃

Melbourne is one of my favourite cities in the world.

I'm excited for the story. I've never read it and am interested to see how it "feels" to a modern listener. And I love listening to books - often what I do when my mind is too busy to focus on words.
