That first story about the teenager beating up his dad was so incredible. Thank you for sharing these memories with us!

It occurred to me that it may have been a piece of fiction. If so, very powerfully done. I loved the details of The Flock and the reactions from other classrooms.

Not fiction. A day remembered and filled out in the telling but quite true. We were not popular with some of the other teachers when we processed! And sometimes our processions were terrible! But the flocking exercise was a favorite and quite, quite beautiful when a class gelled. Thank you so much for commenting! c

Teaching high school can be great fun. Some fear it as a form of hell on earth. I did it 38 yrs. My kids were not in drama class, but physics. We did some cool and outlandish things. One of my favorite years was when my oldest daughter was in my class. I was 'dad' to the lot of them.

I am not sure if I have listed my resume! Not on the blog. We did have fun. And I am still in touch with many of my students some of whom are subscribed right here! This story has reminded me of another occasion with the students - I will write it for next week.
