Two stories that will not leave my head until I write them down for you. One from today and one from fifty years ago. Welcome to Cecilia’s Sustainable Sunday.
i love both of these, especially the guy in the store with the dog story. i love how you didn't give up until you found a common ground and won him over.
I loved both of these stories!!! And the description of the art deco newspaper building was wonderful! I got to see it myself when I spent a Christmas day with Chrissy Hellyer and her family in Napier. I always thank her for leading me to you!!! :)
I like the past and present bookended stories... you and present... you and past. Still reaching out and reading the people you encounter.
Re the question of how to listen to the post. I read the words but after your question in the comments I went looking. Via Substack there's a little play button at the top of the screen. Click on it and an unmelodic robotic female voice reads the words.
Your writing is always so easy to read. A good way to start the day.
And always good to have you along for the ride!
I loved listening to this!
How did you listen to it?

It was a gentle thing. I am still not sure why it took so long for him to bring his head up.

Huh. So a person can listen. This would be good for editing. I would read the stories but the internet is do terrible it becomes a dreadful carry on.
I should work it out though.
Isn’t it wonderful. I truly believe these little chats with people change our worlds. They fill us up!
