Avoid overcrowding the land was one of the lessons my dad always talked about. He rotated his planting so every other year a field got to rest. He could have made more money if he had planted all the fields every year but he said that was what they did in the 1920s and the top soil all blew away in the 1930s. All good lessons my farmer friend. xo
That's a beautiful hammock but I simply can't imagine you getting even 10 minutes of down time to spend in it. I'm going to write down the recipe of baking soda and vinegar and next time there is a plumbing problem I'll give it a try.

He was right! And still the farmers have not learnt those lessons. We need to look after our soil.
Good for you!
I don't know how many / what percentage of farms are owned/run by women, do you>
I don’t know either. More now than when I started I hope.

You are right. I literally never lay down on that hammock!
Very wise observations about what farming has taught you.
We love to learn all our live long days - you too, I know.
Make the first step and take small bites. A good read and good advice!
Thank you Sue. Those two work in all areas of our lives too. Don’t you think?
Yes! Adapting the plan. Such a great addition Deb!
