Welcome to the TKG Sustainable Sunday Newsletter: Boy on a Farm, Chapter Two, Weekly Round-Up, and Life on the Farmy. Life as we know it Jim (could not help myself!! 😂 ).
Darlene, Long, long ago, when I was a junior in university, I spent a year in Paris at the Sorbonne, with a few other students from our French department. About 3 months later into the year, a girlfriend back at school, thinking I might need a few things, sent me a small "care package". In the box which made it through customs, there was a roll of toilet paper, & a jar of Tang. Both were welcome & my roommate & I enjoyed the Tang, stirring it into cups of hot tea.
Tang?? Not surprised about Wai video, we all love him. Love that little white Bobbie, bloody flies. Your story of first love reminded me of when l was about 14 and every Friday we had a grocery delivery from the local grocer’s shop. The boy who delivered the box on a big old bicycle with a big basket on the front was the love of my life! This boy was about 16 and had gorgeous black curls that flopped down over his eyes. I used to dash home from school every Friday, quickly change out of my school uniform and hope that l looked cool, ( ha ha ) when l opened the door to him before my mum could! I’m sure l was tongue tied and pathetic but at the time it was the high light of my life. ❤️
I loved Tang, too. Not so much anymore though. I am eating white fish, tons of it. I ordered practically every meal out while I was in England and in the two weeks I've been home I've cooked it several times. I've just brought home a nice chunk of cod to grill tonight. With corn on the cob, which I will turn into a salad with tomato and black beans tomorrow night.
I loved this episode. We drank Tang as well. Great descriptive writing. I felt like I was in that kitchen.
That is great! Thank you! Especially from a real writer such as yourself! 😊
I am no more real than you are!! xo

What a great memory. It's funny the things we miss when we live away from home. xo
