While I made my morning coffee I set the camera on Mr Flowers' windowsill to see what we would see. The camera is inside the house so please excuse the dirty window. And here he is. Up CLOSE!
I am glad you picked that up Liz. I am thinking about the sounds we will hear when we are traveling through cities - starting this coming week! We might have cafe sounds or streets, kitchens - breadmaking - parks, playgrounds, stuff like that. What do you think?
Oh Mr F you are magnificent! To see him so close, dealing with that poor deformed foot and then the bonus of that oh so certain flying, thank you, what a treat.
Canthelp with more questions. How old is Mr.Flowers. How often does he make the loud call? How often does he display his tail feathers and on what occasions.
I don't know how old he is - we brought him back to the farm fully grown - by the length of his tail I would say at least ten years old? He has started displaying already, you never quite know when he is going to do it. As he has no wives now. So he displays for the chickens and ducks.
You outdid yourself with this one. This is the first time I've ever seen Mr. Flowers really up close and personal. Can't get over how white his feathers are. Love how he cautiously approaches the food, peeking up several times. How resilient he is with the damaged foot. He doesn't feel a bit sorry for himself. Best of all, the extra video. This angle especially featured the beauty of his scallop-edged feathers. Thank you.
love his plates :)
They are bowls in the shape of NZ. I was hoping someone would notice! Thank you!
he's so handsome
He is!!
I love the background noises you making coffee!!

He has been dealing with that foot for years now - it is natural for him. Seeing his fly, he is a different bird!

I thought you would like it Pat. You are a scientist with your observations!
I think he knows he is the king of the jungle here. Yes. I think he knows.
