We've been watching a Red Fox some mornings out behind our house. One day about 3 weeks ago we saw 3 of them.
Also, the Grey Squirrels are chasing each other all the time up and down the trees and tree-to-tree. My wife commented quietly 'Time for sex.' I hoped she meant for us. But, I think it was meant about the squirrels. :-)
Which ones are the native ones - the red ones? I saw black ones in Canada once. But only the grey one down here. But I have never seen two together here on the farm so it makes me think there might be only one which - is wishful thinking. We had no squirrels at all until just this summer. No trees for miles between farms.
Both the Grey and the redder and larger Fox squirrels are native to the eastern half of the US. They have also been introduced to other parts of the world and are considered invasive species. In the UK, the Grey has taken over much of the habitat of their smaller Reds.
I couldn't hear what you said to Boo. He sure gave that chicken (rooster?) the eye. Very sweet Boy Blue Boo. Have Jude and Free Bee ever fight? Or maybe just have words once in a while.
Travel plans being made at last, l know how important that is to you and you certainly deserve it. Fingers crossed that it all works out with carer and young folks. Delightful video as ever, thank heavens for warmer weather, long may it last x
This made me laugh! Boo hates in-activity unless it is in front of the fire! I am working with my calendar - booking all my travel and boy are we going to have fun!

Boo just wanted to be helpful.
Ha!! Yes. Maybe you are getting a little spring fever out your way. We still have cabin fever here!
I will watch out for our squirrel- maybe he will get a friend soon!
Only 1 squirrel? I would happily send several squirrels your way. We have plenty. We even have some mutant black ones.

glad you are making those travel plans and the farm will all be okay
It will. I am training my help today. We will work together often so he can help with the heavy work.

Yes! They have words every time Jude wants FreeBees food. Jude always wins.

Yes. Am working on getting home help for the elder so the youngsters can mind the farm. I think it will work!
