A hungry sleepy friend.
A wild duck has appeared and is following Quacker about. It might be a mallard. Probably a female. And very tired. When I fed the others she raced over and was eating right at my feet. The car arriving behind me did not bother her. Nor the barking dog.
All very odd for a wild bird. Though she has not flown away. So something is amiss. When she moves she moves fast and does not appear injured. She may have lost her mate. Somehow she is lost.
Watch right to the end. There is a very sweet move sideways at the end.
But mostly she is sleeping. Hopefully repairing her spirits.

She landed on the best farm!!
Animals know where it is a safe place to recuperate. We once found an injured racoon sleeping on our welcome mat at our back door. He instinctively knew we would not chase him away and would look after him.
