Animals know where it is a safe place to recuperate. We once found an injured racoon sleeping on our welcome mat at our back door. He instinctively knew we would not chase him away and would look after him.

Oh it would so lovely for Quacker to have a friend. She seems quite a bit smaller than Quacker, but that could be the angle. I hope she/he stays. Wait til she sees the pigs!

Cecilia, I have to tell you: Saturday at 6:00 p.m., I poured myself a nice glass of cabernet and arranged my cache of flatbread crackers all set. Sat down and opened my computer for my ten minutes of joy. But alas, I'd forgotten. No Sat. and Sun. I was sorely disappointed.
