TKG Take Ten. Wednesday. Breathe.
For your ambient pleasure: Birds. Hogs. And a tractor spreading chicken sh - I mean - chicken manure onto our organic fields. Lucky there is no way to share SMELL through the inter-webs!
Just imagine if I could send you the scent of the farm as well! The mind boggles on boggly eyes.
This Take Ten is SO close to my original idea. Just the sounds of the birds going to bed at night plus a little bit of farm - here and there. We only see a slight change in the light as it sinks and can you hear the wild birds rustling and peeping up there. Getting ready for bed.
Also you can hear FreeBee - a little of Big Jude. Tima is up on the porch - backstage - staring through the double glazed glass doors into Kitchen Television.
And the chicken shit tractor. Ah well. That’s what I get for owning a chemical free farm.
Tomorrow is the shortest day. Which is a relief for me; and the chickens. More light. But what about you - what does the Winter Solstice mean to you?
Have a lovely evening.

Sustainable Sunday Christmas Story This is Part Two. Read. Comment. Share. Part Three is coming on Sunday. I hope. Because this Holiday Week is so Freaking NEEDY! Just breathe Celi. Just breathe.
Winter solstice, yay! Can’t wait for the lighter evenings! Way to go yet but starting….now!
Those sounds are magical, and so calming at this mad time of the year, thank you for taking the time and trouble.🙏🏼💕
It does take awhile for them to settle, get all tucked in warm and cozy and ready for sleep.
Ah, yes, the chicken shit tractor. Well, all that good stuff will make a big difference in things once spring arrives. I have a big pile of horse manure sitting out by the street cooling down for flower power come spring. It's worth all the shoveling, but not too smelly. Good thing, my neighbors would probably complain! Phooey on them----what do they know!.
To me the shortest day means that spring is coming, the light will be lengthening, slowly at first but ongoing.
