Winter solstice, yay! Can’t wait for the lighter evenings! Way to go yet but starting….now!

Those sounds are magical, and so calming at this mad time of the year, thank you for taking the time and trouble.🙏🏼💕

It does take awhile for them to settle, get all tucked in warm and cozy and ready for sleep.

Ah, yes, the chicken shit tractor. Well, all that good stuff will make a big difference in things once spring arrives. I have a big pile of horse manure sitting out by the street cooling down for flower power come spring. It's worth all the shoveling, but not too smelly. Good thing, my neighbors would probably complain! Phooey on them----what do they know!.

To me the shortest day means that spring is coming, the light will be lengthening, slowly at first but ongoing.

Oh I didn't realize this is the solstice. That IS encouraging. I love listening to the birds too, but unfortunately, on my end, their song is almost imperceptible. Very faint. When my husband and I walk around the block early evening, we pass a very tall set of bushes where the sparrows nest for the night. They are really noisy but as we approach they silence themselves. Then as we pass they tune up again. Very charming. I could easily hear the grunting in the beginning. Love grunting !
