Chapter Five. Advice from a Caterpillar
Read by Cecilia Buys-Wheeler Gunther
I am reading Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carol for you. A chapter at a time.
Bedtime stories are so much more fun than news stories. Give yourself a break. Relax a little. Close your eyes. Let me read to you.

Do you think it is our Neanderthal survival instinct that has us thinking of food all the time? In our family we often eat a home cooked meal and discuss the next meal at the same time.
I have spent this last week helping my daughter shift from a rental home to her own home. Two of her friends helped us. One of these women said to my daughter “But, where is your microwave?” My daughter said “I don’t have one.” Her friend looked at her, askance, maybe even horrified and said “But how do you heat up your food?”
My daughter said, “We don’t heat. We cook”.
Go to my blog the kitchens garden for the current catch up. I am in Melbourne this month working on our new project: The Compact Kitchens Garden.
Developing city gardens with country hearts.
And this city garden soil is hard as a rock! So, I am focused on watering at this point. But we pay for water here in this little town outside of Melbourne, Australia so that is something new for me to adjust to!
