The Blue Castle Chapters 8 and 9

The Blue Castle is about us. Us women and men - doing as we are told. Being how we are meant to be lest we ‘get in trouble’.

I spent way too much of my life doing as I was told, not speaking out in case that caused trouble. In case the man in my life got angry. In case my mother got out ‘the stick’. In case I was left poor and in crisis.

Isn’t that pathetic. How we tip toe around certain people just to keep the waters calm. How fear governs our actions.

Now - of course - we just anesthetize those bossy people with devices.

Well. That was a dark way to start out our post. When you listen you will see.

Going forward I am changing the format of how I share the narrations. Instead of embedding the chapters separately here in our weekday journal I will create one page per book and add a reading at a time to that specific page then leave the link with you each time I post.

That way if you missed a chapter you don’t have to sift through posts to find it. It will be all together.

Previously I was creating this page after the fact. But this is better.

Improving all the time. Stand by for a simple and logical refinement.

I don’t know why it took me so long to work this out. I guess managing two vastly different properties in two different seasons in two different countries is getting the better of me. Though I do know - for sure - that if I keep at it a rhythm will develop. I will get better at that too. A system of steps will make itself known. The one truly extraordinary skill we ALL have is ADAPTABILITY.

Though - harking back to my first point - we have to be careful not to adapt to things we should run from. Or things we should resist.

Valancy is a case in point.

Ok! Even though this week is a bit of a muddle next week will be better.

I am writing up my recipe for focaccia. Stand by for that in the newsletter this weekend! The girls have ordered it for their baby shower so I have to get it right!
