You and I are back on the farm. And I had intended to have a TKG Take Ten for you. But. Leaving a phone outside to record in sub freezing temperatures is not a good idea apparently.
I have been following your exploits but not able to comment because I'm so mixed up by Substack and Word Press.Neither accepts my passwords or user name. Anyway, I'm excited for you about the grandson on the way, but disappointed I won't be a daily "presence" on the farm. I worry about the creatures, especially TonTon and Boo and Tima and Wai. And you. The flight to Australia is so long--and I'm sure it takes it out of you.
Oh and the stove!!! I cannot, cannot believe you were able to make bread so effortlessly (without several failed attempts, I mean). Were you a-handkerin' for one?
Pat, you are a huge supporter of the farm and even if I don’t hear from you I know you are there. (You can always email if the platforms give you grief). I also worry about everyone but even after a month away the animals and birds are all well and warm and settled. The house: not so much but Rhonda and John are doing just fine.
In the end a baby will always win over a pig. And my daughter would not have been able to have this baby without my support. It was a promise. So - onwards I go!
How is it that tech can be so wonderfully time saving and enrich one’s life and also so annoying, irritating and time wasting? Like you, I’ve adopted the position that when it doesn’t work, I don’t dig myself a hole, I put it down for a more auspicious moment.
The videos are sweet. But even those tiny ones too over an hour each to load as my internet glitched on and off. Rural areas get such rubbish internet.
I bet the stove felt wonderful once you could get back inside for a warm up :)
It is my new best friend. 😀
Absolutely!!
I've never seen a better explanation of why NY should be held in Spring instead of the dead of Winter...
New Years in Aus/NZ is so much comfier!

Right? We expect more than we should I think!
Hurray for farm life.
I love how you weave so much life and personality into your updates. The videos help, too.
Happy Friday, Cecilia.

I like the effects of your lost mind... you shoot from the hip but hit the target.
As long as I don't put out my hip during the shooting!
Stay warm
On it!!
